A modern arrangement of the traditional hymn tune O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. First used as an Advent chant in the 6th-9th centuries, the piece began to take shape as a Latin hymn between the 11th and 12th centuries. The words as we know them today were translated from Latin into English by John Mason Neale in 1851.
