This piece is a simple four-part hymn, written in the style of hymn singing (homophonic). Two versions are available:

Lyrics

  1. Lord, when Thy Spirit’s love we feel,
Granted by Thee to join us,
Touching our hearts to seek thy will,
    Peacefulness, too, enfolds us.
Seeking to offer all our hearts
    to Thee, most everlasting,
We now resign to do our part.
Grant us the strength, we ask Thee.
  2. Abounding in thy cov’nant word,
We thank Thee for Thy kindness.
Our lips partake of emblems pure,
    Virtue distills upon us.
    Purchased by blood and cleanliness,
    Our sins receive forgiveness.
    Jesus, a name of sacredness,
    Thy holy love we witness.
